KCET Registration 2025: The Karnataka Examinations Authority (KEA) has shared guidelines for document verification for candidates applying for the Karnataka Common Entrance Test (KCET) 2025. The last date of KCET Registration 2025 is February 18, and applications can be submitted at kea.kar.nic.in. The exam is scheduled for April 16 and 17 for admission to undergraduate engineering, medical, and other professional courses in Karnataka for the 2025-26 academic year.
KEA has instructed college principals to mark ‘ok’ in their login after verifying candidates’ documents. Any student found submitting fake certificates or false documents will be disqualified, and legal action will be taken against them. Candidates are advised to review the KCET document verification guidelines before registering. The application form is available on the official website, and the document verification process begins after successful form submission. While registration closes on February 18, candidates who have registered can pay the application fee until February 20.
KCET: Document Verification Guidlines
- Candidates who claimed Clause Code ‘A’ and have not studied from Class 1 to 10 in Kannada medium, rural, religious, or linguistic minority reservations but have completed seven years of study verified through SATS will receive a claim certificate as “Successfully Verified.” They do not need to visit any college for verification.
- Candidates who studied for ten years from Class 1 to 10 and claimed Kannada medium, rural, religious, or linguistic reservation will receive a certificate marked as “Claimed Verified,” “Claimed Not Verified,” or “Not Claimed.” They must visit their Class 12/PUC principal or a nearby government PU college with original documents and Xerox copies for verification.
- The document verification schedule for candidates with Clause Codes ‘B’, ‘C’, ‘D’, ‘T’, ‘J’, ‘K’, ‘L’, ‘M’, and ‘N’ will be published on the KEA website.
- Candidates with Clause Codes ‘E’, ‘F’, ‘G’, ‘H’, and ‘O’ must verify their academic documents at their Class 12 college, while documents related to Defence, Ex-Defence, CAPF, and Ex-CAPF must be verified at KEA.
- Caste and income certificate RD numbers will be verified online. Students should ensure their certificates are valid and enter the RD number correctly in the application.
- Candidates applying under the Agriculturist Quota for farm universities must pay Rs 1,200 (Rs 600 for SC/ST). Documents can be uploaded from April 1 to 15, and the list of eligible applicants will be published on April 19.

- KCET 2025 will be held on April 16 and 17 in pen-and-paper mode, with the Kannada language exam on April 18.
- Admit cards will be issued on April 7.
- After registration, KEA will provide an application correction window.

KCET 2025 Application: Required Documents
- All documents should be issued between April 2024 and March 2025, with an affidavit fee of Rs 100.
- KCET admission ticket.
- For agriculturists or labourers in agriculture and related sectors, candidates must submit relevant certificates issued by the Tahsildar or an acknowledgement with the RD number.
- Family tree (Vamshavruksha) issued by the Tahsildar as proof of undivided families for farm quota eligibility.
- Salary certificate for salaried individuals.
- Income certificate for business owners.
- Income certificate issued by the Tahsildar, covering agricultural revenue and other income sources, along with an RD number and QR code.
- Affidavit-I along with the income certificate, where the applicant or parent declares agriculture as the sole source of income. The first party is the applicant, and the second party is the university where the applicant’s practical exam centre is located.
- Affidavit-II along with the income certificate, where the applicant or parent declares all sources of income (agriculture, salary, business, pension).
